Our world is a funny place, or maybe it is just us.

We love the hustle and bustle but also the peace and quiet.

We like vigorous exercise but also rest and relaxation.

We like the simple life but also the luxuries.

The world is full of contrasts – none of us are the same but we have similar wants and desires. Most of us will go to work each day with the goal of making some money sell we and our families can firstly survive, but so that we can also get enjoyment and excitement from the luxuries that we can then afford. A major challenge for all of us is to find work which we really enjoy and which will give us the financial rewards that we believe we deserve. The typical wages and salaries often will not let us achieve what we would like.

The recent worldwide financial crisis has shown many of us that we are just “little people” who have no real control over our financial futures – or that is what we thought. The challenge of making it through the financial crisis can either break us or make us – and I for one refuse to be broken. Sifting through the various oppotunities is not easy and it would have been easier to give up. Understandably most opportunities have a significant upfront cost and I just didn’t have the cash available to invest in these. Many of the opportunities with a low start-up cost but many of these seemed like hollow promises of big profits.
